The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) relies solely on the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations that share its commitment to individual rights. Because HRF is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Employment Opportunities

Personal and Executive Assistant

Responsibilities:

The position will be as a full-time personal/executive assistant for the president and CEO of the organization. This opportunity can function as an entry-level position to eventual HRF program work; however, the position itself involves assistant work exclusively.  The ideal candidate should be flexible, energetic, tolerant, resilient, independent, highly intelligent, and capable of assimilating large amounts of information quickly and efficiently.  Tasks include general organization and filing, scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, managing bank accounts, paying bills, taking dictations, ordering office supplies, and various other errands.  A sense of humor is a must.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of Spanish is highly recommended
  • Experience with computer applications is beneficial but not required
  • Strong research and communication abilities
  • Independent, organized, dynamic, creative, energetic, self-motivated, and ability to work under pressure

Summer Intern

Responsibilities:

The position will be as a summer intern assisting the HRF Program Director with program design and implementation, research and reporting, and media development. There will also be clerical and administrative tasks and some data entry. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated college student or recent high school graduate passionate about defending freedom in the Americas and possessing excellent research and communication abilities.  This is an ideal position for someone who would like to learn all facets of the nonprofit world while serving the cause of liberty.  Sound judgment, focus, organization, empathy, an ability to work under pressure, and a sense of humor are imperative

Qualifications:

  • College student or recent high school graduate
  • Strong research and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of Spanish is beneficial but not required
  • Experience with computer applications is beneficial but not required
